About Heidi Abbott Art

Heidi Abbott is a community advocate, mostly retired attorney and self-taught artist and photographer who has yet to encounter a medium she won’t explore. She began painting in her mid-50’s, and while her work spans disciplines, color remains its most consistent thread.

She is especially passionate about merging advocacy with artistic practice, as reflected in her series of photographs and prints documenting the removal of Richmond’s monuments in 2020. Her work is included in the on-going exhibition Sculpting History: Art, Power, and the “Lost Cause” American Myth at the Valentine Museum.

Photos, paintings and mixed media prints are available by contacting Heidi for more information and pricing.
